Richard IsraelProject Assignment: Mr. Israel provides business strategy advice to the company. Dick Israel & Partners, an investment banking firm, was founded by Mr. Israel in 1973, and is engaged primarily in the completion of mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, arranging of growth capital investments and strategic planning. Prior to starting the company, Mr. Israel was an officer of Cantor, Fitzgerald & Co., an institutional investment banking firm. He was involved both in corporate finance and in supervision of money markets operations. Earlier Mr. Israel was a senior vice president of Rogers & Cowan, the largest public relations firm in the entertainment industry. In 1985, he was a founder and then became second president of the Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA), a trade group for the venture capital industry in Southern California which today has approximately 250 members. Mr. Israel also has served as president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. He is listed in current editions of Marquis’ Who’s Who in America, Marquis’ Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and Marquis’ Who’s Who in the West. Mr Israel was invited by the Asia Business Forum to Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, where he was the keynote speaker and led a workshop on venture capital investments. Mr. Israel has also participated in seminars on investment banking sponsored by the California Continuing Education of the Bar.
